Supporting positive mental health
Life has become extremely busy and stressful but being in nature and around animals can be hugely therapeutic and a fun way to de-stress from everyday life and get the kids out of the house.
interacting with an Alpaca can help many physical and mental issues. It can help reduce blood pressure and improve overall cardiovascular health
Bow And Lambar where our first additions to Carbbons bamboo project.
They were orphaned on the 28th March where their first time mother was just not ready to look after them, so for next 40+ days they lived in our house getting bottle fed every 4/5hrs.
This was the first time myself, Daisy & Cali have coparented two lambs. will share more on this in a blog later.
They help us
Spending time with animals has many benefits, with studies showing that they can reduce levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, in our bodies thus lowering our stress levels and helping us relax. Animals have also been shown to lower our blood pressure, relieve the symptoms of anxiety and help with other mental health conditions such as depression.
Our Goats don't judge you! it's just therapy.
with your help we are able to rescue 9 goats and give them forever homes.
Daisy has bottle fed these 9 from just a couple of weeks old, so they are very close to her heart and just love company. spending 30mins to hour 1hr with these guys is good for you and them. If you fancy some goat yoga, just bring your mat as they will climb all over you.
Humans interacting with Goats have found that petting the animal promoted the release of serotonin, prolactin, and oxytocin- all hormones that can play a part in elevating moods. Lowers anxiety and helps people relax. Provides comfort. Reduces loneliness. Increases mental stimulation. Can provide an escape or happy distraction
Supporting Positive Mental Health
Spending time with animals and being in nature is one of the best stress relievers around. People feel more relaxed and at ease when they are around plants, trees, flowers, and animals. Not only that but spending just 15 minutes a day in nature can also improve memory and help people boost their focus.
We will be sharing stories and all the different projects we help with in our blogs, so keeping checking them out as they may inspire you to live a little differently, thanks for your help and support, Daisy, Christian & Cali x
